Iconic Glamour
The iconic glamour of the Copacabana Palace restaurant and verandah is restored in this project, fusing a chic, modern aesthetic with a vibrant celebration of the hotels’ heritage and its lush tropical surroundings, connecting the intimate poolside experience with the alluring animation of the inner dining area.
Photos from the hotel archives informed the essence and spirit of the design, guarding the vividity of its history — from the indigenous stones of the intricately patterned mosaic floor to the art-deco–inspired reeded glass pilasters. The antique mirrored ceiling reflects the rhythm of the space from morning through night, catching the light of the refreshing morning dip to the warmth of the candlelit dinner.
